FOREVER: Artist edition Tally Marks x Alicia Velázquez

A lost city upon a smile, diamonds, and fish among bubbles. Now tattooed on the skin of a unique fashion accessory.

With a live-drawing performance in the intimacy of the studio, I interpreted a story for fashion brand Tally Marks, on - and with - one of their signature harness bags.

Tally Marks’ accessories are made in small editions by artisans in Lebanon and with Italian materials.

"Chorizos para Mercedes", performance. Helmhaus, Zurich

The performance is also part of the large series of events Zurich Art Weekend, 10 - 12 June 2022.

Ritual of release for "What is Our Dream?", Helmhaus Zurich

Once the exhibition closed, and the series of performative exchanges “What is Our Dream?” therefore finished, something had to be done to release the 76 dreams that had been shared, invented and produced during those 17 performance sessions.
Upon conversations with some of the “dreamers”, as well as with curator and museum director Simon Maurer, we made a ritual of release in three acts letting them go into the air, water and fire.

PERFORMANCE

After an intimate series of making moments with each of my Brussels colleagues at a time, the current sculpture travels to London, where I invite every person part of Adapt-r program to participate in a social performative (and silent) act of wrapping. Together we will wrap the current, chair-sized sculpture, to its temporary home during AmbikaP3 exhibition: a table.
